Engadget post HTC Legend shots.
by Chaz on Feb.08, 2010, under Android, Smartphones
Engadget have posted some shots of the HTC Legend. From what the pictures show, the phone is aluminium with some plastic parts on the rear of the handset and an LED flash alongside the camera. Sense UI is present along with an icon for an FM Radio icon on the homescreen. Alltogether this looks to be a nice looking handset (in my opinion).

Nexus One Story: Episode 3 – Testing.
by Chaz on Feb.07, 2010, under Android, Smartphones
There has been a new video posted on the Nexus One YouTube Channel about some of the testing the Nexus One went through during development.
Some of the tests seem quite rough (the tumble, screen and flex test seemed the most extreme!). Quite interesting to see what these things go through. Also, you can see the phones running an older build of Android and not 2.1 (looks like Android 1.6 to me)
Apple questions an app for mentioning the Android Developer Challenge.
by Chaz on Feb.06, 2010, under Android, Apple, Software
An article on PC World explains that a developer who mentioned his success in the Android Developer Challenge has been asked to rewrite the description for his app.
The Flash of Genius app was a finalist in the Challenge, and Novikoff thought including that information in the description could help illustrate the program’s value and increase its iPhone-based sales. Apple evidently didn’t agree; Novikoff says he received a notice from Apple’s app approval department that stated the following:“During our review of your application, we found that your application contains inappropriate or irrelevant platform information in the Application Description and/or Release Notes sections.
“While your application has not been rejected, it would be appropriate to remove ‘Finalist in Google’s Android Developer’s Challenge!’ from the Application Description.

Good news for Dropbox users. An official Dropbox app is coming to Android! Androinica have posted a quote from an email from Dropbox to users saying:
“Do you own a BlackBerry or Android phone? Don’t worry! We’ve got plenty more mobile magic coming soon!”
As I use Dropbox myself I can’t wait for this to arrive.
Dropbox is an online storage service with free accounts offering 2GB of online storage and higher paid services. All major operating systems are currently supported and there is already an iPhone application.
