Rovio have posted a quick video of their excellent game, Angry Birds running on Android (A Motorola Milestone to be exact).

Angry birds is one of my favourite games on the iPhone/iPod touch and it’s great to see it coming to Android. A must buy for anyone with an Android handset!

It seems that Droid owners will finally be getting their 2.1 update TODAY! After a few delays, Engadget have posted info on the imminent update.

Starting 03/30/2010, Verizon Wireless is pleased to announce a new software update for the DROID by Motorola. Users will be able to upgrade their software to version AP: ESE81/BP: C_01.3E.03P to receive new improvements and enhancements.

*Software Schedule:*
Below is the software-upgrade notification schedule (All times listed are Eastern Time):

o At noon on 03/30, 1,000 users will receive notification of
the update.
o At 11:59 PM on 03/30, 9,000 more users will receive the
update notification.
o After the first 10,000 users receive the update on 03/30,
there will be a 24-hour period when no additional upgrades
will be delivered.
o On Day 3 (04/01), 200,000 users will receive the update
notification at 11:59 PM. This schedule will continue each
day thereafter until the update has been delivered to all users.

The Motorola Milestone recieved an OTA update yesterday and it seems Droid owners will be getting some 2.1 fun today!

The 2.1 wait is almost over.

Technobuffalo have posted a video of the Nexus One Vs the Motorola Droid.

An interesting little video comparing 2 of the hard hitting Android handsets availalbe in the United States.

There is not much in either handset but the advantages of Verizon’s network in the US puts it ahead of the Nexus One from what I saw.

A user on the (Ph)android forums has posted a little guide on how to download and install the keyboard from the HTC Desire on the Nexus one. This will also work on Droid/Milestone (in fact it should work on all Android devices with the same screen resolution!). EDIT: It won’t install on my Android 1.6 based Archos 5 Internet Tablet. Looks like it needs Android 2.x

It appears that Motorola Droid owners will be getting Android 2.1 this week!
Engadget were alerted to the impending update by a Facebook user after he saw a status update from Motorola regarding the new firmware.

No word on an update for the GSM variant, the Milestone yet but it must be due.
